Why Spider-ant?

I've been working on some character designs in between Ugh: short film work and PTD season 4 work. I will be posting some time-lapse videos of my work on my Youtube channel. 

Spider-ant was an idea I had many years ago. I wanted a way to express my feelings towards the Superhero movie genre. I haven't been able to make the character until now. I will probably use him in some comics, maybe try to animate him for some really short video. Who knows.

Sometimes I have to get these things out of my system.
