This week we take a look at Caves and Mines.

Deep, dark, damp, caves give me the creeps, did I mention bats!
  "A cave or cavern is a hollow place in the ground, especially a natural underground space large enough for a human to enter. Caves form naturally by the weathering of rock and often extend deep underground." -Wikipedia 

 Mines are essentially caves that are mined by humans [ or Dwarves] for their monetary resources. Resources like gold, silver or mithril.
The game maps are tile based graphics, for procedural purposes. I still end up rotating and swapping tiles to tweak the enemy paths. Tiling was a little tricky to figure out. I make all the art with my mouse (my tablet pen BROKE!), so making smooth lines is almost impossible at times. The line tool in flash has been my lifeline through this whole game. 

The cave elements and mine elements in the maps was really fun to make. I kept waiting for some miner to show up whistling while he worked.
